The second iteration of Copacetic [link to 001] • Headlined by Baltra and Fort Romeau
This iteration of the event contained a multi-part interactive installation combining real-time custom analog devices, as well as real-time digital visual systems. The three main elements provided on my end:
Interactive projection wall
Custom visual systems built within TouchDesigner which could be interacted with by standing in front of the wall and moving around. Interactivity was achieved through an Intel RealSense D455 depth camera mounted above the projection surface. Primary visual patch allowed users to push around elements of a particle system which fed into reaction diffusion and some additional custom processes.
CRT TV wall (Installation provided by CRT superheroes Smooth Canoe) being fed:
Real-time controllable visual system utilizing 4x live cameras mounted throughout the event space. The live camera feeds were fed into a cache and could randomly chop and jump around in time, switch between the cameras automatically, and all chopping effects could be adjusted to match the tempo of the music. Additional post processing on this feed was done through custom TouchDesigner systems as well as processing via a custom analog glitch processing unit, the Sync Eater.
Custom real-time branded visual systems in Touchdesigner + live glitch processing via the Sync Eater. The Sync Eater in this chain had controls extended to a small custom built box which allowed the audience to control 3x parameters via 1 knob and 2 switches.
Analog visuals generated via the DIY video modular + Panasonic WJ-MX12 + Sync Eater
8x modded CRT TVs (CRT Scopes) receiving audio feeds, each displaying real-time wave-forms via the internal TV’s deflection circuits.

Still need to get footage of this one together - hope to do this soon.
