My role for this event was to provide visuals in The Great Hall for the second iteration of “Higher Ground.” The first iteration of this event [link] was held in August of 2019.
Custom controllable generative visual systems built in TouchDesigner run on a separate machine. Generative video feed ingest, pre-rendered content playback, and additional compositing & FX chains in Resolume Arena on a primary media server.
Some of the below examples are created through real-time generative visual systems in TouchDesigner being composited with pre-rendered content. Much of the pre-rendered content used in this show was built by Sila Sveta. The stills below focus on the use of this content in conjunction with additional systems and processing chains.
A number of the stills shown below are utilizing a simple reaction diffusion system as a primary video feed from TouchDesigner into Resolume, where it is either used as a mask, in more complex compositing chains, or processed with additional effects.
